It took me a long time to be able to grow long full lashes and to only be able to wear mascara. I would live and breathe wearing false lashes and coating my lashes with a bunch of mascara to make them longer and fuller.

I decided to do my research and see what was causing all the damaged to my lashes. Turns out wearing mascara everyday is not healthy, mascara dries your lashes and is clinically proven to thin your lashes out. Wearing mascara or eyeliner to bed can lead to significant eye irritation. Sleeping with mascara and eyeliner on repeatedly may result in the clogging of the tiny hair follicles and oil glands on your eyelids. When these areas become clogged, bacteria can build up and cause inflammation.

Here are some helpful tips to make sure you avoid this and to grow the healthiest lashes.

#1. Take off your makeup: Before bed ALWAYS take off your makeup, sometimes we get too tired to wipe our makeup off before we go to bed, but leaving mascara on your lashes overnight does more harm than you know.

#2 Moisturize your lashes: Lashes need moisturizing too , try using a natural substance like coconut oil or castor oil. (I recommend castor oil) Purchase a empty tube of mascara off of Amazon.com , put your oil in it and apply them to your lashes every night before bed.

#3. Choose your mascara wisely: Makeup products have numerous toxic ingredients and it can be difficult to choose a mascara best to not damage your eyelashes. Try avoiding mascara with the ingredients like formaldehyde, synthetic and tar dyes!

#4 Do not rub your eyes: It tempting to rub your eyes after a long day at work and your exhausted but this can cause your lashes to be brittle and dry out. Plus this will prevent the formation of under eye wrinkles and fine lines.

And that's all there is to it, enjoy growing you new healthy lashes !
